WNBA Announces 16 Prospects To Attend 2025 Draft

The WNBA announced that 16 top prospects will attend the 2025 Draft on Monday, April 14 at The Shed at Hudson Yards in New York City. Commissioner Cathy Engelbert will announce the selections live on ESPN, with coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET following WNBA Countdown at 7 p.m. Connecticut’s Paige Bueckers, USC’s Kiki Iriafen, LSU’s Aneesah Morrow, and TCU’s Hailey Van Lith headline the talented group of attendees.

The Dallas Wings hold the first overall pick, followed by the Seattle Storm at number two, while the Washington Mystics possess the third and fourth selections. The newly formed Golden State Valkyries, the league’s first expansion team in 17 years, will pick fifth.

Draft night will begin with the traditional “Orange Carpet” showcasing the prospects’ fashion styles. Earlier that day, the prospects will participate in a lighting ceremony at the Empire State Building to celebrate the occasion.

Notable achievements among the attendees include Bueckers leading UConn to the 2025 national championship, Morrow ranking third in Division I history with 1,714 career rebounds, and Georgia Amoore joining elite company as only the third player in Division I women’s history with 2,300 career points and 800 assists.

Several international prospects will attend, including France’s Dominique Malonga, who was the youngest member of France’s silver medal-winning Olympic team, and Slovenia’s Ajša Sivka.
