Golden State Valkyries Announced Training Camp Roster

The Golden State Valkyries announced its 18-player training camp roster. Two of its 2025 draftees, Shyanne Sellers (17th overall) and Kaitlyn Chen (30th overall), will attend training camp. Nine of the team’s expansion draft selections will participate: Monique Billings, Veronica Burton, Temi Fágbénlé, Carla Leite, Kate Martin, Stephanie Talbot, Kayla Thornton, Julie Vanloo, and Cecilia Zandalasini. Elissa Cunane and Janelle Salaün will report to training camp after they complete their international commitments.

The team’s first-round draft pick, Lithuanian guard Justė Jocytė, and expansion draftee French center Iliana Rupert are not listed. Per a team spokesperson:

“They are not arriving Sunday due to prior basketball commitments, we are in constant contact with the athlete and their management team.”

The team will provide updates on “when they may come to the Bay Area.”

Training camp begins April 27 at the Sephora Performance Center in downtown Oakland. The Valkyries tip off the regular season on May 16 at Chase Center at 7 p.m. against the Los Angeles Sparks.
