Chicago Sky Acquires No. 11 Pick in 2025 WNBA Draft From Minnesota

Chicago receives:

  • 2025 First Round Pick (No. 11 overall) – From Minnesota

Minnesota receives:

  • 2026 First Round Pick – From Chicago (Originally held rights to swap own pick for Chicago’s)

The Chicago Sky announced today that the team has acquired the No. 11 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft from the Minnesota Lynx. The draft is set for Monday, April 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET.

To move up to the No. 7 pick used to select Angel Reese in the 2024 draft, the Sky included the rights to swap 2026 first-round picks with Minnesota in the trade. Under the new agreement, Minnesota will now keep its own 2026 pick and receive Chicago’s, while the Sky adds another first-round selection in the 2025 draft.

With the new agreement, Minnesota will now hold Chicago’s 2026 first-round pick outright, and the Sky adds an additional first-round selection in the upcoming draft.

Chicago now holds the Nos. 10 and 11 picks in the first round of the 2025 draft, along with the Nos. 16 and 22 picks in the second round. In 2026, the Sky retain the rights to swap Phoenix’s first-round pick with Connecticut’s and hold two second-round picks and one third-round pick.
