STANFORD, Calif. – On Senior Day at Maples Pavilion, Stanford celebrated Elena Bosgana, Brooke Demetre, and Jzaniya Harriel while closing out its regular season with a thrilling 87-82 victory over Georgia Tech. The Cardinal finished the season with an impressive 14-3 home record, going a perfect 14-0 against unranked opponents.

Stanford head coach Kate Paye reflected on the momentous day:

“That was just an outstanding Senior Day, and a great team game against a very good Georgia Tech team. Obviously, Nell Fortner is a terrific coach, and their team has had a lot of success this year. I think it was a great opportunity, a great challenge for our team. Was really excited about the way we played. We had so many different contributions out there… five players in double figures, different people stepping up. But today’s really about our seniors, Elena, Brooke, and Jzaniya. And I think you saw how much they mean to our team, our program, to their teammates, just by how hard everybody played.”

The Cardinal secured their 16th win of the season (16-13, 8-10 ACC) and will enter next week’s ACC Tournament as the No. 11 seed, set to face No. 14 Clemson on March 5. Georgia Tech (21-9, 9-9 ACC) will begin play in the second round against No. 8 Virginia Tech on March 6.
