The Golden State Valkyries revealed their inaugural uniforms, embodying their identity as “fierce, bold and strong,” according to Kimberly Veale, the team’s senior vice president of marketing and communications. The Bay Area franchise is set to debut in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the team’s preparation.

The uniforms prominently feature the Valkyries’ global logo, which reimagines the Bay Bridge with suspension cables as wings. The design reflects the team’s spirit, with five triangles within the wings representing the five players on the court and 13 lines extending from the sword-like bridge tower, symbolizing the league’s 13 active teams.

The team will don two versions of the WNBA Nike uniforms: the Heroine Edition, a white uniform signifying strength and courage, and the Explorer Edition, a bold black uniform accented with Valkyries Violet.

Core jersey sponsorships include Kaiser Permanente, whose logo appears on the abdomen, and Chase Freedom, whose emblem graces the left shoulder.

To celebrate the unveiling, sponsors are hosting a scavenger hunt across San Francisco and Oakland, with local businesses hiding jerseys for fans. The day concludes with violet lights illuminating the Salesforce Tower and Chase Center, commemorating this new chapter in Bay Area basketball.
