JuJu Watkins, Paige Bueckers Unanimously Selected to 2024-25 AP Preseason All-America Team

For the first time, AP Preseason All-America Team includes three sophomores, highlighting the young talent in a sport that continues to surge in popularity following a record-breaking season.

USC sophomore Watkins made a national impact as a freshman by averaging 27.1 points per game and also helped USC reach the Elite Eight for the first time in three decades. Joining them on the team are fellow sophomore stars Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame), Madison Booker (Texas), and Kiki Iriafen (USC).

2024-25 AP Preseason Women’s All-America Team

  1. JuJu Watkins (USC) – Unanimously selected, Watkins averaged 27.1 points per game as a freshman, the second-highest in the country.
  2. Paige Bueckers (UConn) – A three-time All-American and unanimously selected, Bueckers averaged 21.9 points and 5.2 rebounds last season, leading UConn to the Final Four.
  3. Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame) – Averaged 22.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists during her breakout freshman season, helping Notre Dame to the Sweet 16.
  1. Madison Booker (Texas) – Took on a larger role after teammate Rori Harmon’s injury, averaging 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
  2. Kiki Iriafen (USC) – Iriafen, in her first season with USC after transferring from Stanford, averaged 19.4 points and 11.0 rebounds last season with the Cardinal.
