Last Thursday night in a sold-out Ferrell Center in Waco, Baylor delivered the upset of the season by taking down the UConn. As a result, the Huskies fell from the top position in the Sport Tours International/Hoopfeed Poll this week to No. 3 after reigning over the rankings since the first week of December. Baylor moved up two places in the poll to No. 6.

Louisville is the new No. 1. The Cardinals are perfect at 14-0 and one of three remaining undefeated teams, in company with NC State and Ohio.

The Oregon Ducks stayed at No. 4 following a week where junior All-American guard Sabrina Ionescu earned a mind-blowing 15th triple-double in her career as her team dominated Washington State on Sunday.

Stanford rounds out the top five, moving up a spot. The Cardinal are on a six-game winning streak and defeated UCLA and USC over the weekend in Northern California at Maples Pavilion. Stanford’s Pac-12 foe across the Bay was not as successful against the conference’s Los Angeles schools. The Golden Bears dropped their game against UCLA Friday night in an 84-79 overtime thriller. However, Cal recovered to take down USC 66-59 on Sunday and subsequently remain in the poll, dropping three places to No. 22 with one Pac-12 win under their belt so far.

No. 10 Maryland saw the biggest drop in the rankings. The Terrapins lost five spots after a week in which they lost to unranked Rutgers on their home floor, 73-64. Maryland recovered to edge Ohio State 75-69 on Saturday.

Marquette experienced the biggest lead in the rankings, moving up six places after taking down DePaul and Creighton last week.

Florida State and Indiana enter the poll at No. 24 and No. 25, respectively. The 14-1 Seminoles’ most recent victories include wins over North Carolina and Virginia.

Indiana defeated last week’s No. 14 team Michigan State 68-64 on Sunday. Like Florida State, the Hoosiers are an impressive 14-1 as conference play continues.
