Social media recap: Stanford holds off Cal 74-69 to take 2018 Battle of the Bay Part I
STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford (19-8, 13-2 Pac-12) came out on top against Cal (17-9, 8-7) in the first game of the annual Battle of the Bay series, 74-69.
Led by freshman guard Kiana Williams who had a career-high 22 points, the Cardinal got off to a fast start but had to hold off Cal in the last two quarters to earn the victory.
The second game in the series is set for Saturday in Berkeley at 2:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.
