Fever waive Shanece McKinney, Adrienne Motley and Ronni Williams, 14 players remain on training camp roster
Following a preseason loss Tuesday against the Washington Mystics, the Indiana Fever waived three players from their preseason roster: Shanece McKinney, Adrienne Motley and Ronni Williams. McKinney is a free agent player who played previously with the New York Liberty. Motley and Williams were rookie draft picks from the University of Miami and University of Florida, respectively.
Indiana’s training camp roster now stands at 14 players, with veterans Marissa Coleman, Erlana Larkins and Tiffany Mitchell arriving in camp Tuesday. Only one returning player, Shenise Johnson, has yet to arrive. The Fever’s current roster will be trimmed to 12 by May 13, prior to the club’s season opener.
Indiana closes its preseason with a second exhibition date at Dallas on Saturday. Preparing for their 18th summer basketball campaign, the Fever open the regular season with a pair of West Coast road games at Seattle (May 14) and Phoenix (May 17), prior to a Saturday, May 20 home opener against the Connecticut Sun (7:00 p.m.).
