NCAA unveils second of three top 16 reveals for 2017

The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship Sport Committee provided the second of three regular-season top-16 rankings in seed order Monday evening.  The final ranking takes place Feb. 20. According to the NCAA, the three announcements will have no bearing on the final bracket, which will be revealed on Selection Monday, March 13 at 7 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN.
The top four seeds were unchanged since the first reveal: UConn, Baylor, South Carolina and Mississippi State. Baylor lost to Texas Monday night after the seeds were announced. Stanford made the biggest jump since the first reveal on Jan. 23, going from No. 12 to No. 8. The Cardinal also lost Monday night to UCLA.
