UConn forward Batouly Camara undergoes successful surgery for shoulder injury

UConn newcomer, 6-2 forward Batouly Camara, underwent a successful surgical procedure on Friday, July 1 to repair a pre-existing injury to her right shoulder.

Camara is a rising sophomore who transferred to UConn from Kentucky in May. She is expected to be fully recovered in time for preseason practice in October according to UConn. She will be forced to sit out the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer rules but will have three years of eligibility remaining, beginning in 2017-18.
