New York Liberty rookie guard Brittany Boyd undergoes wrist surgery

New York Liberty rookie guard Brittany Boyd underwent surgery on her left wrist to repair a fracture which she suffered during the third quarter of the Liberty’s game against the Chicago Sky on Thursday night. Expected recovery time is 5-6 weeks. The Cal graduate is averaging 6.6 points per game, 2.7 rebounds per game and 2.3 assists per game. She scored a season-high 22 points on August 15 vs. Tulsa.
