Fox Sports Arizona to air special on Phoenix Mercury
Fox Sports Arizona will present “Glory is Ours,” a half-hour season-in-review show that will premiere on at 10:30 p.m. ET, Tuesday, September 23 celebrating the 2014 WNBA champions, the Phoenix Mercury.
Hosted by Hall of Famer Ann Meyers Drysdale the show will feature exclusive interviews with members of the Mercury championship team including 2014 WNBA Finals MVP Diana Taurasi, the 2014 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Brittney Griner and the 2014 WNBA Coach of the Year Sandy Brondello.
Other show features:
- A behind-the-scenes look that will chronicle the Mercury’s road to a third WNBA championship
- Exclusive footage from the championship-clinching game 3 of the WNBA Finals
- Footage from inside the champagne-soaked locker room where the team celebrated their season-long journey to glory
Mercury season highlights:
- A league-record 29 regular season wins
- A win streak of 16 games that was the second-longest in WNBA history
- An overall home record of 21-1 ending the season winning the team’s final 20 games at US Airways Center.
