Atlanta Dream forward DeLisha Milton-Jones to miss remainder of season due to ruptured Achilles tendon
Atlanta Dream forward DeLisha Milton-Jones will miss the remainder of the 2014 season after suffering a ruptured right Achilles tendon, the team announced Wednesday.
The injury occurred during the first half of Atlanta’s victory over the Chicago Sky on Sunday, July 13. She is expected to undergo surgery later this month.
Milton-Jones was acquired via a trade from New York on July 9. She played in two games for the Dream, totaling nine points, three blocks and a pair of rebounds in 23 minutes. The 16-year veteran ranks eighth in WNBA history with 5,533 career points, fifth in rebounds (2,541) and steals (612) and 13th in blocks (337).
