Photos: Connecticut Sun open practice at Connecticut River Academy
EAST HARTFORD, Conn. – The training camp roster of the Connecticut Sun gathered Tuesday at Connecticut River Academy on the campus of Goodwin College to introduce Anne Donovan’s team to their Hartford-area fans.
Fan favorite and former Sun all-star Nykesha Sales emceed the fun event which featured introductions to the players, drills, scrimmaging and an autograph session.
The crowd was small but enthusiastic, cheering all of the stars, with rookie Chiney Ogwumike and returning veteran Katie Douglas getting applause as loud as former Connecticut players Renee Montgomery, Kalana Greene and Kelly Faris.
The Sun return to the court on Thursday in a preseason game against the New York Liberty.
