No price change for WNBA LiveAccess, $14.99 for the 2014 season
The price for the WNBA’s streaming service for games broadcast online via the league’s teams will once again be $14.99, the same price as last summer’s season. The service began in 2009 and the league started charging for in 2012 at a rate of $4.99.
Fans can sign up for a free trial that runs through May 22. Entering the code WNBALA2014 during sign up will knock $2.00 off the rate. There are 12 games between opening day May 16 and the end of the free trial. The May 17 Chicago at New York game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and not available on LiveAccess.
According the league’s website:
WNBA LiveAccess will offer approximately 190 live games, which will complement the 70+ games on ESPN2, ABC and NBA TV.
Games airing on ESPN2 and ABC, as well as other games taking place during the telecast windows of ESPN2 and ABC games, will be subject to live blackout rules.
Local blackouts may apply for each WNBA market depending on the local TV schedule.
Features of LiveAccess include:
- WNBA LiveAccess provides multi-game viewing, which allows fans to watch up to four games at once.
- Fans are able to activate statistical overlays when watching games.
- All games streamed live are archived and then made available on demand.
- WNBA LiveAccess provides a live game DVR, enabling viewers to pause and rewind game action, as well as a timeline feature to jump directly to game highlights.
- A subscription allows game viewing on multiple devices, including smartphones, tablets and computers.
