Monica Wright undergoes arthroscopic surgery on left knee, sidelined indefinitely
Minnesota Lynx guard Monica Wright underwent an arthroscopy on her left knee on Friday at TRIA Orthopedics in Bloomington, Minn. Wright will be sidelined indefinitely according to the team.
“In her workouts last week she was having trouble with her knee, a little bit of swelling and pain and as a precaution, went to get an MRI and they found some stuff and got her cleaned up,” said Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve on the team website. “Hopefully she’ll be pain free when she gets back
The 5-10 guard finished her fourth season with the Lynx last season by playing in 33 games, including three starts and averaged 9.0 points per game as well as career highs in rebounds (2.9 rpg), assists (2.3) and steals (1.03 spg), while logging 22.5 minutes per game.
