San Antonio Silver Stars will play annual Breast Health Awareness game on a one-of-a-kind pink court
The San Antonio Silver Stars will play their annual Breast Health Awareness game on a one-of-a-kind pink court, the team announced today. It will be the first WNBA game and first known professional basketball game played on a pink court.
Silver Stars season ticket holders who are breast cancer survivors will assist in the painting of the court, which is scheduled to begin tomorrow on the grounds of the AT&T Center.
The Silver Stars will host the Phoenix Mercury on the pink court for Breast Health Awareness Night presented by CHRISTUS Santa Rosa on Saturday, August 17 at 7 p.m. in the AT&T Center.
The WNBA Breast Health Awareness program focuses on generating awareness and educating women about breast cancer, in addition to raising funds for the initiative. This season, WNBA Breast Health Awareness Week will take place from Aug. 18-24.
