(WomensNIT.com) — Morgan Woodrown scored 21 points as San Diego went on the road and defeated Washington 58-47 in quarterfinal action of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. Dominique Conners added 14 points and Sophia Ederaine pulled down 13 rebounds. Regina Rogers led Washington with 21 points and 13 rebounds.
Kirby Burkholder scored 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as James Madison defeated Virginia 68-59 in quarterfinal action of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament in front of a home crowd. Tarik Hislop and Lauren Whitehurst scored 17 and 14 points, respectively. Ariana Moorer led Virginia with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Lexie Gerson also added 15 points.
Tiffany Bias scored 24 points and Oklahoma State defeated Colorado 78-70 in quarterfinal action of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. Liz Donohoe also scored 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds. Colorado got 16 points from Julie Seabrook. Chucky Jeffrey had a triple double with 12 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists.

James Madison 72, South Florida 45
(WomensNIT.com) — Tarik Hislop scored 17 points and JMU defeated South Florida 72-45 in third-round action of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. It was the first time in 32 years these teams played each other.
JMU led 24-12 at the half, and just kept rolling from there. The Dukes (27-7), in the postseason for their seventh straight year, also got 15 points from Kirby Burkholder and 11 rebounds from Lauren Whitehurst. JMU moves on to play Virginia in the quarterfinal round. That game will be at 2 p.m. ET Sunday at JMU.
South Florida (19-16) had 11 points from Inga Orekhova in the Bulls’ final game of the season. It was the eighth time in the past nine years that South Florida earned a postseason berth.
