WNBA Draft Lottery Set For November 10

The WNBA Draft Lottery is set for November 10 in New York the league announced today. The lottery determine the first four picks of the 2012 draft which will be held next April. Teams involved in the lottery did not make the playoffs this past season. They include the Tulsa Shock, the Washington Mystics, the Chicago Sky and the Los Angeles Sparks. The 2011 WNBA Champions Lynx own Washington’s first round pick, which is currently slotted second overall. The pick was acquired by Minnesota from the Mystics on April 9, 2011 in exchange for center Nicky Anosike.

In addition to a guaranteed lottery selection, the Lynx will also select 12th in the first round courtesy of their league-best 27-7 regular season record.
