Departures:

Ohio State assistants Kelley Meury and Pete Gaudet are leaving the program.

Oregon assistant Kai Felton is leaving.

USA Basketball:

ESPN takes a look at participants in this weekend’s U16 trials.

Academic progress:

The NCAA is working with historically-black colleges and universities on academic rate declines.

IUPUI will lose two scholarships next year due to poor academic progress.

Eastern Kentucky will lose one, University of South Florida loses two, Tennessee-Martin loses one.

WNBA:

Pre-season games have begun. Today the Lynx prevailed over Indiana, 71-66. (I am pulling for a certain short player on the Fever to make the final cut).

Tomorrow the Storm are at LA at noon. Wish I could go, but it’s in the middle of the work day.
