Greensboro, NC – Between them they have 15 wins in the ACC tournament but you can throw out the record books anytime Duke and the University of North Carolina step on the court. As the sixth-seeded, UNC is playing its fourth game in four days, but they have a confident swagger. This is not the same team that got embarrassed by Connecticut earlier in the season. The Tarheels can score from the perimeter and in the paint; with their overall size and athleticism they can defend all positions. Look for Jessica Breland to attack the mid-post area in Duke’s defense.
Duke has figured out how to run their offense through players other than Jasmine Thomas; Shay Selby and Chelsea Gray have been spot on from the three-point line. Karima Christmas is going to have to continue to be aggressive and attack the basket for the Blue Devils and not settle for jump shots. Either one of these squads has an opportunity to bring home the hardware, so expect a physical game with lots of emotion from these Tobacco Road rivals.
