On Friday, June 25, North Carolina State named Debbie Yow, a native of the state, director of athletics. Yow is the sister of the late Kay Yow, who coached the university’s women’s basketball program for 34 years and former Wolfpack All-American Susan Yow.
She joins NC State after 16 years as director of athletics at the University of Maryland, where the women’s basketball team won the national championship in 2006.
