Iowa State: Sophomore guard Kelsey Harris and freshman center Kileah Mays to transfer
Iowa State head coach Bill Fennelly announced Tuesday that sophomore guard Kelsey Harris and freshman center Kileah Mays will transfer from the program.
“You never like to have kids leave the program, but change is often good for all involved parties,” Fennelly said. “I wish them all the best in the future.”
Harris (Brea, Calif.) played in 58 career games averaging 12 minutes per contest. Mays (Duncanville, Texas) saw action in eight games as a freshman, averaging 1.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
“I want to thank the coaches and the University for giving me the opportunity to be a part of this program,” Harris said. “I’d especially like to thank the Cyclone fans, they truly are the best fans in the country. I’ve enjoyed my time here, but hope to find somewhere that I can contribute more to the program.”
On the coaching front, ISU announced March 19 that associate head coach Jack Easley is leaving his position, effective June 30, after nine seasons with the university.
