WNBA corrects statistical errors made during the Indiana Fever-Connecticut Sun game
The league sent out a release correcting statistics from the Indiana Fever-Connecticut Sun played on September 2 at Mohegan Sun Arena.
From the league:
It was determined that three assists were incorrectly awarded to Sun center Tina Charles during the game’s second quarter.
The assists on baskets by Kalana Greene and Danielle McCray with 5:56 and 5:02 left to play, respectively, should have been credited to Renee Montgomery. A basket by Kara Lawson with 1:59 to play in the quarter should have been scored as unassisted.
Due to the corrections, Charles finished Friday’s game with 10 points, 16 rebounds and seven assists, while Montgomery finished with six assists.
WNBA games are reviewed to ensure the accuracy of the game statistics.
