Atlanta Dream guard Shalee Lehning to miss remainder of the season due to a torn ACL
Atlanta Dream guard Shalee Lehning is out for the remainder of the 2011 season due to a torn anterior cruciate ligament the team announced today. She injured her right knee during the first quarter of the Dream’s game against the Connecticut Sun on July 31. MRI results revealed the damage and she is expected to undergo surgery later this month.
The 5-9 guard appeared in all 18 games for the Dream this season, averaging 12.1 minutes, 2.1 points and 2.3 assists per game.
Lehning is also an assistant coach at her alma mater Kansas State.
